Nashville postal worker placed on non-duty status after seen allegedly dumping mail in viral TikTok

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) – A Nashville postal worker has been placed in a non-duty status after being spotted in a viral TikTok allegedly dumping mail into a dumpster, according to the USPS Office of Inspector General-Mid Atlantic Area Field Office (MAAFO).

A TikTok posted by user Mrs_Denton19 shows what appears to be a USPS worker in Antioch dumping boxes of mail into a dumpster over the weekend.

“You gots to be smarter than this! So if yall waiting on something important coming from through the southeast region of Nashville well its in my backyard dumpster,” the user wrote.

The MAAFO confirmed to WSMV4 that the local Office of Inspector General is aware of the video and is investigating the matter.

“The local OIG office is aware of the video posted on social media this weekend and is conducting an investigation into this matter. The alleged involved Postal employee has been placed in a non-duty status,” MAAFO said
