ATLANTA — The Georgia Access to Medical Cannabis Commission is considering the delivery of medical marijuana products to card-carrying Georgia patients.

According to the commission agenda for their Sept. 16 meeting, commissioners will decide whether or not to approve mail delivery via the U.S. Postal Service and delivery by third-party companies of marijuana products across the state.

The commission item says that the governing body intends to adopt the rule, which would allow those deliveries to occur, as long as they are directly taken to the intended recipients.
