AKRON, Ohio (WOIO) – The man who pleaded guilty to robbing an Akron postal carrier at gunpoint was sentenced in the Summit County Court of Common Pleas on Monday.

In February, Aarynn Rodgers pleaded guilty to aggravated robbery and receiving stolen property.

On Monday, Rodgers was sentenced to five to seven years for the aggravated robbery charge, three years for the gun specification and 18 months for receiving stolen property

Akron police said on May 6, 2025, Rodgers and Dennis Harris targeted a mail carrier in the 700 block of Cordova Ave.
