Man missing after finishing delivery route at South Carolina post office

Kyle Michael Poppiti, 23, vanished Saturday after a delivery run at the Chapin Post Office. His vehicle is missing, and police say he may be at risk.

CHAPIN, S.C. — Chapin Police are searching for a man who finished his delivery route on Saturday and never returned home.

Police said they are looking for 23-year-old Kyle Michael Poppiti after he went missing after running a delivery route at the U.S. Post Office at 1249 Chapin Road. Officials said Poppiti failed to return home and has not contacted his family. Police said his vehicle, a light blue 2011 Honda CR-V with a South Carolina license plate reading XBI527, is also missing. Police were able to track his phone to Winnsboro at one point on Sunday morning, but don’t know where he is now. They also believe he could be at risk and a danger to himself.

Chapin Police are urging anyone with information about his location to call Officer Ryan Smith at 803-986-2438 or the nearest law enforcement agency. Police described the search as a “time-sensitive matter.”
