Mail truck rollover on Route 103 Sunapee sends driver to hospital

SUNAPEE — A mail truck rollover Monday sent one person to the hospital and disrupted mail delivery along Route 103.

The incident occurred at 12:01 p.m. at the intersection of Route 103 and Cross Road, according to Sunapee Fire Department officials.

Sunapee Fire, Sunapee Police, and New London Ambulance responded to the scene after receiving reports of a motor vehicle rollover with injuries.

Sunapee Fire Chief arrived at 12:07 p.m. and confirmed a small mail truck had rolled into a ditch, with all occupants already outside the vehicle.

Emergency personnel assessed the driver, who suffered moderate injuries in the crash.

New London Hospital EMS transported the injured driver to Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center for treatment.

Sunapee Fire and Police remained at the scene while postal service officials retrieved all mail from the overturned vehicle.
