SEATTLE — A man convicted in a Seattle-area mail theft spree was indicted Wednesday on an escape charge after he allegedly skipped a reentry center and was later found sleeping in a stolen vehicle, according to federal court records.

Courtney J. Ellis, 45, was sentenced to seven years, followed by three years supervised release for assaulting a postal worker while they were performing their official duties. Ellis pleaded guilty to the assault earlier this year.

Jason Johnny Wilson, 29, of Savannah, was sentenced to 200 months in prison followed by five years of supervised release after pleading guilty to Conspiracy to Commit Bank Fraud, Aggravated Identity Theft, Possession of a Stolen Mail Key and Possession of Stolen Mail.
