ST. CHARLES (First Alert 4) — Baskets of mail were being recovered Monday morning on Highway 94 in St. Charles after they spilled out of a USPS vehicle.
First responders were at the scene before 6:30 a.m. picking up pieces of mail that were laying in the roadway. The incident happened at the intersection on Highway 94 near I-70.
The spilled parcels were loaded onto addtional USPS trucks in large carts after everything was picked up.
Traffic was impacted at the intersection where the incident happened Monday morning. The mail was cleared from the roadway around 6:40 a.m.
