Let’s be honest: the Postal Service has turned institutional incompetence into policy. It treats a voter’s ballot with the same urgency as third-class mail which is the point.
The result is a double failure:
• On Theft: Mail crime surges, drop boxes sit unprotected like open buffets, and the response is a shrug—because real security would require effort and the deployment of the postal police. Two things the Inspection Service oppose.
• On Bureaucracy: The moment a ballot survives, the Postal Service rejects it over a missing barcode, a misplaced stamp, or a cockamamie rule that Trump invented out of thin air.
The Postal Service won’t lift a finger to stop criminals from stealing votes, while they discard a legitimate ballot to enforce a technicality.
