Mail carrier makes Halloween come alive for Bossier’s Sun City

BOSSIER CITY, La. (KSLA) — Joey Martinez works days delivering mail in the Minden area.

His income allows him a modest home in the 1800 block of Venus Drive in Bossier City.

But every Halloween, and for that one night only, he turns his front yard into a haunted Michael Myers-themed maze with volunteer actors posing as a menagerie of spooky guests in realistic makeup and gives away about $500 worth of candy, all out of his own pocket.

Martinez also charges no admission.
