Kierra Coles was three months pregnant when she vanished from Chicago’s South Side in 2018.
On Oct. 2, 2018, Kierra left her home in her U.S. Postal Service (USPS) uniform, even though she had already called in sick for her shift. Later that night, she was seen in surveillance footage making withdrawals from an ATM — and hasn’t been heard from since. Chicago police have said that they suspect possible foul play.
Her family have described her as someone who loved makeup, dancing and her job with the USPS, according to FOX32 Chicago. She was also expecting her first child with her boyfriend of six years, a man named Josh.
“She was so happy,” Karen Phillips, Kierra’s mother, told ABC News in October 2023. “We just couldn’t wait for her to experience the love between a mother and a child.”
But six months later, Kierra’s due date came and went — with no sign of her. Chicago police continue to list the case as active — but no suspects have been named, no arrests have been made and a $68,000 reward is still being offered for information that leads to an arrest and conviction, per FOX32 Chicago.
