Fire erupts in U.S. Postal Service truck in Jersey Shore

BERKELEY – A U.S. Postal Service truck burst into flames in the South Seaside Park section this afternoon, prompting an emergency response from police and area firefighters.

The blaze was mostly extinguished by the time an Asbury Park Press photographer reached the scene on Barnegat Avenue just after 3 p.m. Tuesday.

There was no indication anyone was injured in the fire.
