Fiancée of USPS employee in shock, grieving after their death at distribution center

ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) — The fiancée of a U.S. Postal Service employee is still in shock after his death at the Palmetto Regional Distribution Center.

Demarcus Little’s fiancée, Laura Wheaton, told Atlanta News First she has been grieving and has been left with many questions about what happened.

Little died on Wednesday after collapsing during his shift, Wheaton said. She said he was foaming at the mouth.

She described Little as a loving, caring and generous father.

“Every time I look at his clothes, every time I look at his shoes, it’s just a reminder,” she said, holding back tears. “It’s going to be extremely hard to get over.”

Wheaton said the two had just spoken on the phone before his death and he seemed fine. She also said he had no health problems and no history of drug use.
