VEGA, Texas (KVII) — In a unique family moment, Amarillo Postmaster Landon Thornton had the honor of administering the Oath of Office to his daughter, Macy Wolf, officially installing her as the new Postmaster of Vega, Texas.
Wolf began her postal career in 2020, during the COVID-19 pandemic, inspired by her father, whom she views as an inspirational leader.
“I have fond memories of my dad as a mail carrier. As a leader, he is consistent and knows how to motivate people into doing things the correct way,” she said.
Thornton started his career as a mail carrier in Amarillo in 1990 and has served as the Postmaster there since 2018.
