Elmhurst Man Threatens Mail Carrier

ELMHURST, IL – An Elmhurst man was charged Wednesday with disorderly conduct after he threatened a mail carrier, police said.

The 24-year-old man lives in the 100 block of East South Street, police said.

About 1 p.m. Tuesday, a dog charged at the mail carrier near the front door of the suspect’s house, police said. The carrier reported the incident to the police, who told the owner to keep the dog leashed when outside.

The next day, the man threatened the carrier, police said. He was charged.
