Driver charged with shooting at postal worker along I-70 in downtown Indy

INDIANAPOLIS — An Indianapolis man is in jail and charged with a pair of road rage-related crimes after allegedly shooting at a postal worker along Interstate 70 near downtown.

Driving on I-70 while delivering the mail, the postal worker came under fire from an irate driver earlier this month. Luckily, no one was hurt in the shooting.

State Police claim the shooter sped away in a Dodge Journey, which was caught on FLOCK traffic cameras in the area.

Court records show that evidence helped detectives track down 37-year-old Bryan Hughes, who is now accused of firing multiple shots at the victim’s semi-truck. Hughes is charged with two felony counts of criminal recklessness.
