Crash leaves enormous hole in wall of Cape Cod post office

A car crash left a gaping hole in the wall of a Cape Cod post office on Wednesday.

Police said an elderly driver’s 2013 red Cadillac accelerated through a parking space and right into the lobby of the Yarmouth Port Post Office. The car was almost entirely inside the building when it came to a stop.

No injuries were reported.

A spokesperson for the US Postal Service said they are working on plans for altered retail operations at the damaged building. They also said the delivery of mail should not be impacted.
