About 200 community members attended the retirement party of a mailman on April 6 at Green Road Synagogue in Beachwood. At the event, Aaron Johnson and his wife received a monetary gift from the community to help fund a trip to Israel, a trip that has been on Johnson’s bucket list for years, he told the Cleveland Jewish News.
“I knew they were having something (but) I didn’t expect all of these people that came out.” Johnson said. “It was amazing because I look at them not as a customer or a patron, but as my brothers and sisters. All of their little children – those are all my nieces and nephews. I love them so much.”
