Car trapped under postal service 18-wheeler in Avondale area, 3 injured

BIRMINGHAM, Ala.  – Three people were injured Monday morning in a crash involving a car and a postal service 18-wheeler.

The wreck happened around 3 a.m. at 41st Street South between 2nd and 3rd Avenue.

Three people were taken to the hospital when the Toyota Camry they were in became trapped under the 18-wheeler.

Authorities say they have moderate injuries.
