Arrest made in armed carjacking of Knoxville mail carrier

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. — The Knoxville Police Department announced Thursday that they have arrested one of two suspects accused in the armed carjacking of a mail carrier last month.

Officers arrested 18-year-old Kemian Strawder of Knoxville at the Hardee’s on Clinton Highway near Old Callahan Drive.

Strawder was a juvenile at the time of the December 6 carjacking of a U.S. Postal Service driver. He was wanted on juvenile petitions for carjacking, aggravated assault, and weapons charges.
