A postal worker is dead after a Ford Expedition pushed his mail truck into a ditch in a hit-and-run crash on Julia Street Saturday evening.

An autopsy report has confirmed excessive heat played a role in the death of a Dallas postal worker over the summer.

MEREDITH — A United States Postal Service mail truck caught fire in Meredith on Friday morning, destroying both the vehicle and a “considerable” amount of mail still inside. The driver was able to exit the vehicle and was not injured, according to Meredith Fire Chief Ken Jones.

NAPS has had recent discussions with USPS concerning proposed changes to the NPA payout metrices for both Field NPA and the expanded HQ NPA HERO process for FY23.

Our objective was to assess the Postal Service’s management of penalty overtime. For this audit, we analyzed nationwide penalty overtime data during fiscal years (FYs) 2020 through 2022.

Within moments of pulling over, she realized this was no ordinary traffic stop — far from it: St. Louis Metropolitan Parcel Task Force agents arrested her and took her in for questioning. Our special agent, a member of the task force, was also on the scene.
