Bay Ridge residents are coming together to support the family of Yazan Alsaras, a beloved mail carrier who passed away unexpectedly earlier this month at the age of 39.
In connection with the guilty plea, the Court was advised that, on several occasions from October 2023 to April 2024, Shareef—a former U.S. Postal Service Human Resource Officer at the Bloomfield Post Office—removed and stole business checks contained in U.S. mail addressed to Pittsburgh area businesses.
Joseph Corbett, the Postal Service’s chief financial officer, will retire Tuesday, Dec. 31, and be succeeded by Luke Grossmann, the organization’s finance and strategy senior vice president.
