Washington, DC – Robert G. Taub, Vice Chairman of the Postal Regulatory Commission (PRC), received the “Benjamin Franklin Award for Distinguished Leadership in Postal Policy” from Keep US Posted. The award was presented by Keep US Posted Executive Director and former Congressman Kevin Yoder. Senator Gary Peters (D-MI) and Congressman Pete Sessions (R-TX) were also recipients of the award at a reception in Washington, D.C. on February 11, 2026.
In making his remarks at the event, Executive Director Yoder said, “Very few regulatory leaders have continued through multiple reform bills. We appreciate the vice chairman’s tireless work at the PRC because it is a critical component to ensuring that the American people’s voices are heard in postal policy. We must have really smart, engaged oversight. Keep US Posted is counting on that oversight.”
Vice Chairman Taub states, “I am honored by the recognition of my many decades of work in both the legislative and executive branch on a policy issue, rooted in the Constitution that affects every American household and business nearly every day of the week. Congratulations to my fellow honorees Senator Peters and Congressman Sessions, who have worked tirelessly to address the deep challenges confronting the nation’s postal system for the American people in the spirit of Benjamin Franklin.”
Vice Chairman Taub shares the award with the diligent Commission staff. “Never before has there been a more pressing need for a postal regulator that is involved and cognizant of the problems and obstacles confronting our postal system today. I am honored to lead an agency composed of dedicated commissioners and committed, experienced professionals who understand that changes are needed to ensure the stability of the Postal Service.”
