Wild turkeys chase down postal worker and attack residents

JANESVILLE, Wis. (WMTV/Gray News) – Wild turkeys are chasing postal workers, blocking traffic and attacking adults and children in a Wisconsin neighborhood.

Janesville resident Lawrence Meyer caught on camera an incident of wild turkeys chasing a postal worker.

Meyer also said his 8-year-old son was a target while he was crossing the street.

“As he was approaching, crossing the street, the turkeys started chasing after him,” Meyer said. “It’s scary. Like these are big birds, they’re as tall as my son. When they fluff their feathers, they’re scary. They’re huge to an 8-year-old.”

The turkeys have become a nuisance in the area, according to Meyer.
