Postal carrier retires after 35 years

As a postal carrier, Eads spent the last 35 years cultivating meaningful relationships with the customers along his various routes. He has now officially retired after serving the community for more than three decades.

“Customers talk to him like family, telling him funny stories of what the grandkids have done or even their accomplishments, upcoming weddings, someone close to them being ill, and that list goes on and on,” Brandy said.

Eads’ retirement open house celebrating him and his dedication to the postal service is set to be held from 2 to 4 p.m. Jan. 31 at The Copper Top in Seymour, 100 St. Louis Ave.
