Ten individuals have admitted conspiring to steal mail throughout the Oklahoma City metro area, forge checks found in the pilfered mail, and deposit those checks to get cash from financial institutions.

A stamp theft scheme at a Syracuse-area post office landed a longtime station manager behind bars. The Pointe Coupee Parish Sheriff’s Office is warning residents to protect themselves as washed checks are on the rise.
