Hazmat crews respond to Champaign Co. Post Office

SAVOY, Ill. (WCIA) — A Post Office in Champaign County will be closed for the rest of the evening after an insect spray leaked out of a package and was accidentaly sprayed around a larger area, officials said.

Savoy Fire Department Public Information Officer Eddie Bain said the Post Office in Savoy is closed. Around 3 p.m., hazmat crews were called to the Post Office for an unknown incident.
