ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC) — While the job of a postal worker may seem peaceful to the average resident, it’s actually had the opposite effect recently, with a string of violent attacks on postal workers, leaving some employees scared to return to work.
In an exclusive interview, News 8 heard from a USPS employee and a victim of one of these assaults.
“There’s a bunch of what ifs, but I’m not a ‘what if’, it that happened to me,” the employee said. “It happened to other carriers. It’s just traumatic. You know, I feel it’s just sad that anybody has to go through it.”
