ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC) — A U.S. Postal Service worker was harassed while delivering mail in Rochester on Thursday afternoon, police said.

Officers responded to the area of Seventh Street just before 2 p.m. for a report of menacing.

According to investigators, a woman began harassing the postal worker, who then sought safety inside the mail vehicle. Police said the woman struck the vehicle with a bottle.

The postal worker was not injured and drove to a safe location before calling 911, authorities said.

Police arrested a 43-year-old Rochester woman on charges connected to a separate incident.

Investigators said the case does not appear to be connected to prior incidents involving USPS employees in the city and is believed to be isolated.

No injuries were reported to either the postal worker or the suspect.
