Major Disruption Coming to Packages Mailed to US

Many online sellers were quick to herald the end of de minimis on orders from overseas beginning next Friday, believing that foreign manufacturers should not be allowed to mail cheap products to US consumers duty-free. But they, and all US consumers, may be in for an unpleasant surprise.
Numerous foreign posts will suspend packages destined to the US valued up to $800 beginning next week, not for spite, but because of the burden that comes along with new rules from US Customs and Border Protection (CBP), which processes and collects duties.
