Postal worker injured in Valley City crash

VALLEY CITY, N.D. (KFGO News Dakota) – The driver of a U.S. Postal Office vehicle was injured in a two-vehicle crash on Wednesday in Valley City.

Police Chief Nick Horner said the impact from the crash ejected the postal worker from his vehicle. The vehicle then went over a curb, striking a home.

Horner said an SUV traveling northbound on 7th Avenue SW and the postal vehicle traveling eastbound on 2nd Street SW when the collision happened at the intersection.

The postal worker was transported to Mercy Hospital in Valley City and treated for non-life-threatening injuries. The driver of the SUV was not injured in the crash.

Horner said the home struck by the vehicle and sustained minor damage.
