Hongkong Post to start accepting US-bound parcels again on Tuesday

Hongkong Post has said it will begin accepting US-bound parcels again from Tuesday as authorities in the United States have confirmed they will not impose a tariff on such items.

US President Donald Trump on Friday paused imposing a tariff on packages worth less than US$800 arriving from China, temporarily allowing small parcels to enter the country under a duty-free exemption.

Under a revision to an earlier executive order signed by Trump, the tariff-free arrangement will remain until “adequate systems are in place to fully and expediently process and collect tariff revenue”.
