USPS Beginning to See Results in Regional Consolidations, Says IG

USPS is making progress consolidating operations in regional processing and distribution centers – RPDCs, in particular at the Richmond VA facility where it kicked off the national effort, the postal inspector general has said.

USPS projects that the $25.4 million investment will save $185 million over 10 years by reducing mail processing labor and transportation costs, and by closing two leased annexes.
