Butts County letter carrier Clifford Marshall honored for 30 years with Postal Service

JACKSON — The city of Jackson and Butts County elected officials, stakeholders, and influencers gathered recently to honor Clifford C. Marshall, a beloved letter carrier, for his 30 years of dedicated service with the United States Postal Service. After 30 years of service, Marshall announced his retirement, leaving behind a legacy of commitment, excellence, and community impact. Friends, family, colleagues and community leaders came together in December for a heartfelt celebration at the Crimson Skye Event Center.

During the event, Jackson Mayor Carlos Duffey, presented Marshall with a proclamation, recognizing his decades of service and commitment to the community. The proclamation highlighted Marshall’s dedication to delivering not just mail, but also smiles, connections and reliability to countless households and businesses in Jackson. In addition to the proclamation presentation, Theodore Patterson, District 1 councilman for Jackson; Brent Lowe, superintendent of the Butts County School System; and, several postal colleagues delivered heartfelt speeches. They shared reflections from memory lane and highlighted the character and accomplishments of Marshall
