Prosecutors to decide if they will seek death penalty in Warren postal worker murder case

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (WKBN) — Prosecutors are expected to decide if they will seek the death penalty for two men accused of killing a postal worker in Warren earlier this year.

They are each charged with one count of murder of an officer and employee of the United States and one count of discharge of a firearm during a crime of violence for the March 2 shooting death of Jont’e Davis, 33.

Defense attorneys have until the end of December should they wish to add any information as to whether the death penalty should be considered, Judge Nugent said in the minutes.
