New video touts the importance of giving to the CFC

In a new video highlighting the importance of the Combined Federal Campaign, Postmaster General Louis DeJoy talks about how USPS helps to restore a sense of normalcy after a crisis or a disaster.

“Postal employees have had a proud record of giving back. You live and work in every community across America and play an important role in binding the nation together,” he says in the video.

Also known as the CFC, the campaign represents thousands of charities under one umbrella. It began Sept. 1 and continues through Jan. 15, 2025.

Employees can sign up at the givecfc.org website, on the CFC Giving mobile app or with a paper form. Donations can be made as monthly gifts, one-time pledges or via payroll deduction.

The Postal Service’s fundraising goal this year is $3 million.

In addition to DeJoy, the video features comments from:

• Ivan Butts, president of the National Association of Postal Supervisors;

• Edmund Carley, president of United Postmasters and Managers of America;

• Paul Hogrogian, president of the National Postal Mail Handlers Union;

• Donald Maston, president of the Rural Letter Carriers’ Association;

• Elizabeth Powell, secretary-treasurer of the American Postal Workers Union; and

• Brian Renfroe, president of the National Association of Letter Carriers.

The CFC is one of the largest workplace giving campaigns in the world. Since 1961, it has raised nearly $9 billion for its many causes.

The online CFC Donor Pledging System has more information, along with a gateway page that allows participants to easily find a CFC-approved charity.
