USPS Requests Advisory Opinion on Certain Aspects of its Delivering for America Plan

Washington, DC – Today, the U.S. Postal Service formally requested an Advisory Opinion (N-2024-1) on specific aspects of the Delivering for America Plan. The Commission will review the request, ask for public comments, offer to hold a hearing, and ultimately issue findings and recommendations about the Plan. In the coming days, the Commission will file a Notice and Order which describes the Postal Service’s request and a procedural schedule. Interested parties can check back at PRC.gov for additional information on the Advisory Opinion process, timing and directions for how to participate.

By law, the Commission’s final opinion is advisory. The Postal Service is not required to implement or take any further action concerning the Commission’s opinion.
