Webster Groves Mail Carrier Makes Delivering Mail Special

Since starting with the U.S. Postal Service when he was 18 years old, Spiros, now 47, has spent his career bonding with not only the animals on his route, but the people as well. Most of these bonds started with a simple, “How are you?”

This means a lot to the patrons on his route — especially the many workers and volunteers at the Emmanuel Episcopal Church Food Center on Bompart Avenue in Webster Groves.

“One of the things I realized about Jason is he is just so personable,” said Lyn Anthoney, a Webster Groves resident who has volunteered at the food center for four years. “He would always go the extra mile. He would always ask, ‘How are you?’ or ‘How was your weekend?’

“He’s the type of person that makes living in Webster Groves so special,” Anthoney added.
