Public Comments on Proposed Relocation of Sacramento Metro Retail Post Office

SACRAMENTO, CA — The United States Postal Service is considering relocating the retail services currently provided at Sacramento Metro Retail Station located at 660 J. Street, Suite 170, Sacramento, CA 95814, to a yet to-be-determined location as close as reasonably possible to the existing location.

The Postal Service is considering relocation because the landlord will not renew the lease. The relocation will consist of procuring a suitable substitute location, preparing the new location for use as a post office and then transitioning the retail services to the new location. The Postal Service will continue retail services until the new post office is up and running.

We will mail Proposed Post Office Relocation Cards to the public to solicit written input on the proposal and provide an address to which the community and local officials may send written comments on the proposal. Comments will be accepted for a 45-day period.
