911 calls shed new light on death of USPS worker at Palmetto facility

PALMETTO, Ga. — Newly obtained 911 calls are shedding light on the death of a U.S. Postal Service employee at the Palmetto distribution center last week.

Demarcus Little died at the facility on June 3, becoming at least the fourth employee death reported at the center since it opened in 2024.

Authorities have not officially confirmed how Little died, but 911 calls made by coworkers suggest he suffered a medical emergency while inside the facility.

“We have a young man who has fell out. He appears to be having a stroke,” one caller told dispatchers.

In another call, a coworker expressed concern about how long it was taking for help to arrive.

“We’ve called several times, and nobody has made it here. This man has been down for like 10 minutes,” the caller said.
