DES Moines, Iowa (TNND) — At least three people were hurt when a postal worker opened fire at a U.S. Postal Service facility in Iowa on Thursday, according to authorities.
The Des Moines Police Department said two employees were shot, while a third was hurt trying to escape.
Authorities added that the injuries did not appear to be life-threatening.
“They’re all at the hospital, they are being cared for right now,” Sgt. Paul Parizek said of the victims.
The victims’ identities and the suspect’s identity were not immediately available, but they included two women and one man. Authorities did not disclose what led up to the shooting.
